What is Archer’s Diary and iScored.today

What is Archer’s Diary and iScored.today and Why should I care?

As stated on their website (https://archersdiary.com/Default.aspx)  Archer’s Diary is the official scoring and tournament management software of Archery Australia Inc. and has been created by an Archer for Archers. It is available free of charge to any Archery Australia affiliated Club to use.

Archer’s Diary is Archery Australia’s central database where all Archery Australia affiliated events and their results are stored. That is all National, State and Club level events, from National Championships to our weekly Club Shoots are stored there. Archer’s Diary reduces the National, state and Club recorders workloads by undertaking the processing of all the results to determine all archer’s Ratings, Rankings and Handicaps.

Archer’s Diary is however, far more than a database, as:

  • Through its iManage.today website, it is used by Archery Australia, the State bodies (eg. Archery Victoria) and Clubs in the selection of dates for their events, and in the preparation and management of those events.
  • Through Archer’s Diary’s event calendar it provides a universal advertising medium for all archers as what events have been scheduled, when they will be held, and the flights (rounds) they consist of.
  • Provides, through the iScored.today website, the means for all Archers to register for events in advance of the event and then on the day to score their target’s results and to see the results of the event.
  • Through Archer’s Diary’s Events Results webpage, allows all archers to review the results of all events in Australia and to look up archer rankings and Records.

Though most things are able to be done using the Archer’s Diary webpages, there are specific activities that require either iManage.today or iScored.today, neither of which are directly accessible through the Archer’s Diary webpage https://archersdiary.com/Default.aspx.

iManage.today, is a password protected website that requires specific authorisation to gain access. Any Archery Australia Club can seek approval for specific members, usually the Club Recorders or other nominated members, to gain access and to create events and manage their club member details and records, awards and classifications. Access to iManage.today requires application through the club committee and approval from Archery Australia.

iScored.today, is a specific website that allows all members use it to register into any Archery Australia event and to score their shoot results, as well as to review the events results both during the event and afterwards. Once the archers to be scored at a target have been selected, the phone being used for scoring can be disconnected from an active Internet connection for the duration of the shoot. Only once the scoring has been completed must the phone be reconnected to the Internet for the scores to be uploaded. This allows use on fields that do not have internet coverage.

In order to gain access to iScored today visit their website at https://iscored.today/#/ and bookmark or “Add to Home Screen” the website so that you can quickly open the page.

Please note that separate instructions have been prepared for the use of iScored.today.
